At some point of their lives most women have had to deal with abusive men.It is imperative to understand that both physically abusive and emotionally abusive men fall into the category of abusive men. Generally men who are alcoholics, who have aggressive personalities, who are insecure, self obsessed and who have poor skills when it comes to building and maintaining relationships could tend to be abusive. They try to make women fell inferior continuously and try to project themselves as far superior.
One of the biggest misunderstandings is that only women in rural, undeveloped areas fall victim to abusive men.According to statistics, it is claimed that two thirds of married women would be victimized by domestic violence at least once in their lifetime. The recent famously publicized case where a celebrity was physically assaulted by her boyfriend shows that not only women who are financially dependent on their male partners tend to be victims of abusive men, but women almost everywhere have to endure this problem.
A major problem when it comes to solving the problem of abusive men is the fact that many women are reluctant to accept that their partner is abusive. Often this may be due to the fear of the other partner, although some women would forgive their partner and accept their apologies after the abusing behavior. Ignoring this type of behavior only promotes it and it is also the duty of friends, relatives and neighbors to inform about abusive men.Failure to do so would very easily result in a tragedy and the ones who could have stepped in to stop it would have to live with it for the rest of their lives.
Abusive men not only harm their female partners but also tend to psychologically harm their children by displaying abusive behavior in front of the children. Such children could end up suffering from depression, low self esteem and could go on to be abusive to those around them.
Most abusive men signs tend to be those who had bitter childhoods and could be those who were subjected to child abuse. Guidance and help is needed for these people to overcome their past experiences and trying to conceal these events is not an answer. There are many governmental and private establishments that could help abusive men and their loved ones to overcome their issues and it is a good idea to get professional guidance regarding such affairs.
